Currently there is a strong push by Western government sponsored agencies to advocate male circumcision as one of the methods to reduce the risk of HIV/AIDS infection. Those advocating this method say it reduces the risk of infection by up to 60%. The other methods are reducing the number of sexual partners, condom use, abstinence and fidelity in marriage. However, global efforts on HIV/AIDS prevention have concentrated thoroughly on condom use and now on male circumcision. And for those infected with the virus, they are provided with ARV’s without monitoring the sexual behavior of those who temporarily seem to “recover”.
What the global experts have deliberately ignored is the fact that, the more condoms are pushed into a country, the more the infection rate increases. Why? Because, given that condoms do not provide total protection because of their failure rate, and given that condom use has a multiplier effect, that they increases the number of sexual partners, therefore a failure rate even of a single condom means many people become victims.
Former President of Tanzania, Benjamin William Mkapa said in the“Foreword” to the NATIONAL POLICY ON HIV/AIDS, “Each one of us must engage in thorough introspection into his or her personal behavior and lifestyle in relation to the risk of contracting HIV”, [October 26, 2001]. What the former President implies here is that while there could be relative physical solutions to the HIV/AIDS pandemic, the moral aspects must seriously be taken into consideration. And here lies the strength of fidelity in marriage and total abstinence. Fidelity in marriage and total abstinence guarantees protection by 100%. While condoms and circumcision provide only relative protection, fidelity and abstinence provide absolute protection.
Now, why do western governments, foundations and non- governmental organizations promote only condoms that provide only relative protection? It is the population control agenda. First it is business. Condom industries create huge profits to those involved in production, promotion and sale. Secondly, condoms are used as a tool for population control. The advent of HIV/AIDS has given them an opportunity to push population control agenda through the condom. Disguising themselves as “Good Samaritans”, western population control maniacs push condom and male circumcision as methods to reduce the number of African people so that what is written in National Security Study Memorandum 200 (NSSM 200) is realized, namely, to put down populations in poor countries for the benefit of western governments.
Elizabeth Liagan in her book “Excessive Force, Power, Politics and Population Control”, quotes the following passage from International Dateline of May 1992, page 6, “AIDS may end Africa’s population explosion, say British researchers in a study published in the magazine, Nature. The study says that AIDS is spreading so rapidly in Africa that the worst affected areas will show net population loss rather than gain within a few decades”.
We cannot control HIV/AIDS infection by using immoral solutions – sexualizing the very problem. Only moral imperatives, - abstinence and fidelity will do. Admonishing Romans, the Apostle Paul wrote; “But you are now set free from sin and bound to the service of God, your gain will be sanctification and the end will be eternal life. For the wage paid by sin is death” (Rom. 6:22-23).
